The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, held a meeting with Mr. Ahmed Abridan, Chairman of the National Planning Council, at the Board’s headquarters to review the Council’s role in formulating national policies, preparing development plans, and monitoring the implementation of its statutory responsibilities.

Mr. Qaderbouh underscored the importance of the Council’s active engagement in executing its mandate, particularly in ensuring transparency, accountability, and the development of strategic plans that support long-term national growth. He emphasized the need for continuous, coordinated efforts to strengthen institutional performance and uphold good governance principles.

The discussions also addressed challenges facing the Council’s operations, with both sides exploring practical solutions to enhance efficiency and overcome obstacles. The Oversight Board reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining regular follow-up to ensure compliance with legal, administrative, and technical standards.

Mr. Abridan noted that the National Planning Council remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities in accordance with the law and continues to serve as a key advisory body in preparing studies, policies, and development frameworks across national sectors. He acknowledged the vital role of the Oversight Board in supporting adherence to proper administrative practices and ensuring accountability.
