RABAT — 9 February 2026: The Al-Waseet Foundation held an honorary meeting to pay tribute to Mr. Mohammed Benalilu, Chairman of the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention of Bribery and the Fight against Corruption, and former Mediator of the Kingdom (2019–2025).
The event was organized at the initiative of the Foundation’s staff and leadership as an expression of institutional recognition and gratitude for Mr. Benalilu’s professional and humanitarian contributions during his tenure. The ceremony included addresses reflecting on his administrative path and the values he embodied in public service, along with the presentation of certificates of appreciation acknowledging his engagement and cooperation within the ombudsman system at the international, regional, and Francophone levels.
During the program, remarks were delivered on behalf of the Foundation’s personnel, andappreciation was extended to several former senior officials, including the former Secretary-General of the Mediator’s institution, Mr. Mohammed Ledidi, and members of the Foundation’s staff. The evening concluded with an address by Mr. Benalilu, in which he reflected on key milestones of his experience while leading the institution.
On the occasion, the Mediator of the Kingdom, Mr. Hassan Tariq, delivered an improvised and reflective tribute centered on the theme of recognition and gratitude. He described the gathering as more than a formal protocol, emphasizing that it represented the staff’s sincere desire to express appreciation for Mr. Benalilu’s leadership, his commitment to renewal, and his close engagement with colleagues—alongside the human qualities that marked his tenure.
