Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah praised the performance of the Federal Insurance Ombudsman during a recent meeting, where Ombudsman Mumtaz Ali Shah presented his annual report highlighting significant progress in protecting the rights of insurance policyholders nationwide.

The report revealed that 6,116 complaints were received in 2024, out of which 5,827—amounting to 95.27%—have been successfully resolved. Action is ongoing in the remaining 289 cases.

The Chief Minister commended the Ombudsman’s efforts and emphasized the need for broader public awareness campaigns to ensure policyholders are better informed about their rights and can effectively address grievances with insurance companies.
