Manila, Philippines | 16–18 June 2026 The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab proudly represented the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the 2026 Full Members Meeting of the Southeast Asian Ombudsman Forum (SEAOF), held in Manila, Philippines from 16 to 18 June 2026. The participation underscores Pakistan’s sustained commitment to multilateral engagement in the domain of public accountability, institutional integrity, and good governance.

The Honourable Ombudsman Punjab serving concurrently as First Vice President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Asian Regional Director delivered two distinguished presentations before the Forum’s member delegations. The presentations highlighted Punjab’s pioneering role in advancing digital governance, quality management frameworks, and institutional excellence as benchmarks for the wider ombudsman community.
Central to the delegation’s contribution was the showcase of the Ombudsman Punjab Management Information System (OPMIS) an innovative, in-house developed digital ERP solution that has fundamentally transformed the institution’s complaint-handling architecture. Through standardised workflows, enhanced transparency, robust accountability mechanisms, and rigorous quality assurance protocols, OPMIS has been instrumental in securing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification across the Head Office, Research and Development Wing, and all 38 Regional Offices of the institution — a landmark achievement in the public sector of Pakistan.
The delegation further comprised Mr. Adil Aziz, Deputy Director (IT Infrastructure and Network Security), and Ms. Sidra Arshad, Deputy Director (Procurement and Development), whose technical expertise and contributions enriched the institution’s representation and reflected its deep organisational capacity.

The SEAOF 2026 Full Members Meeting provided an invaluable platform for cross-regional dialogue, enabling the exchange of global best practices in digital transformation, grievance redressal systems, institutional capacity building, and public sector accountability. The active participation of Ombudsman Punjab reinforced the institution’s standing as a regional leader and a credible voice in international ombudsman discourse.
As a member institution of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab remains firmly committed to strengthening collaborative ties, advancing shared values of justice and good governance, and elevating the standards of public service delivery across the OIC member states and beyond.
