The Office of the Sindh Ombudsman protection against harassment welcomed Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, Khatoon Mohtasib Punjab, during an official visit to Karachi, where she was received by Justice (R) Shahnawaz Tariq, Sindh Ombudsman protection against harassment, along with senior officials and staff of the Office of the Sindh Ombudsman protection against harassment.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange views on strengthening inter-provincial cooperation and enhancing institutional coordination in addressing workplace harassment and promoting effective grievance redress mechanisms.
Discussions focused on advancing collaborative efforts to prevent workplace harassment, foster dignified and respectful working environments, and promote safer, healthier, and stress-free workplaces for employees. The participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional support systems to improve organizational performance and service delivery.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation, exchanging best practices, and promoting policies that uphold fairness, integrity, and the protection of employees’ rights. The meeting underscored the value of continued collaboration between provincial Ombudsman institutions in advancing administrative justice and strengthening public sector governance.
