Lahore – The FOSPAH Regional Office Lahore, in collaboration with the United Nations PSEA Network, conducted an awareness and training session on workplace harassment laws and the UN’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).

The initiative aimed to strengthen institutional capacity, promote safe workplace environments, and enhance understanding of legal frameworks and complaint redressal mechanisms related to harassment.
During the session, Ms. Lubna Ali, Legal Advisor Lahore, provided a detailed briefing on categories of workplace harassment and available complaint mechanisms under the law.
Ms. Noor Fatimah, Assistant Law Officer, highlighted the role of Inquiry Committees, key elements of complaint management, and appellate forums, while also emphasizing FOSPAH’s mandate as an alternative redressal forum under the relevant Act.

The session was attended by Ms. Ammara Khattak, Chairperson of the UN PSEA Network, along with 30 focal persons from various UN organizations. The training reinforced the importance of maintaining safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplaces across all institutional settings.
At the conclusion of the session, certificates were distributed among participants in recognition of their active participation and successful completion of the training program.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment between national and international institutions to promote dignity, protection, accountability, and ethical workplace culture.
