Ombudsperson Punjab, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, attended and delivered a keynote at a seminar on Protection Against Harassment in the Workplace held at Kohsar University, Murree. The event brought together senior academics, legal experts, and policymakers to discuss strategies for creating safe and respectful professional environments.

Dr. Najma Afzal Khan highlighted that protecting women is a core mandate of her office. “Ensuring safety and protection for women in all workplaces is our top priority. A harassment-free environment is not just a legal requirement but a societal obligation,” she remarked.
The seminar emphasized proactive awareness, empowerment of employees to report misconduct without fear, and fostering institutional policies that promote accountability, transparency, and respect.
The Ombudsperson reaffirmed her office’s commitment to collaboration with government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society to ensure comprehensive compliance with legal and ethical frameworks for workplace safety.
