Luanda, December 5 — The Secretary-General of the Ombudsman, Mario James Seuane, received a certificate of recognition on Friday for his participation in the Eighth General Assembly of the Association of African Ombudsman and Mediators (AOMA). He attended the high-level gathering as the representative of the Worthy Ombudsman of Justice.

The recognition underscores the strong and longstanding relationship between the Ombudsman’s Office and AOMA. It also reflects the ongoing commitment of both institutions to deepen cooperation and strengthen mechanisms for safeguarding citizens’ fundamental rights across the African continent.

The Secretary-General emphasized that the participation of the Ombudsman at the Assembly demonstrates the shared dedication to continuous engagement, collaborative learning, and the development of strategic approaches aimed at ensuring swift and effective protection of citizens’ rights.

The acknowledgment further reaffirms the Ombudsman’s active role in regional initiatives and its contribution to advancing good governance, administrative justice, and human rights through African and international platforms.
