The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab organized a Public Awareness Podcast featuring Mr. Mahmood Javed Bhatti, Advisor to the Ombudsman Punjab, to inform citizens about their rights and the Ombudsman’s role in providing accessible grievance redressal.
The session was hosted by Mr. Iftikhar ul Hassan, President of the Association of Union of Digital Journalists South Punjab, and Mr. Jamshed Rizwani, Senior Journalist and Chairperson of the Union of Digital Journalists South Punjab.
During the discussion, Mr. Bhatti outlined how the destitute and marginalized communities can approach the Ombudsman’s Office free of cost, ensuring no financial barrier to justice. He explained the complaint filing process, emphasizing that it is straightforward and citizen-friendly, and highlighted the mechanisms in place to guarantee fair, impartial, and timely resolution of grievances.
The podcast aimed at empowering citizens through information, reaffirming the Ombudsman Punjab’s mission to uphold transparency, accountability, and equal access to justice.
