Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Holds Public Reception to Address Citizens’ Concerns
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, a Board Member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), held a reception for applicants on 14 April 2026, continuing the institution’s commitment to direct engagement with citizens.

During the reception, the Ombudsman met applicants individually in a private setting, ensuring confidentiality and allowing for detailed discussion of their concerns. Immediate measures were taken on-site to address certain issues, while cases requiring further investigation were noted for follow-up.
The Ombudsman emphasized that matters under review will be closely monitored, and relevant state bodies will be engaged to ensure resolution in accordance with national legislation.
Applicants were also provided with legal guidance and information regarding their rights and available remedies, reinforcing the institution’s role in promoting access to justice.
The Ombudsman Office highlighted its multiple communication channels for submitting complaints, including the 24/7 “916” Call Center, as well as email, postal mail, fax, and social media platforms, ensuring accessibility and timely handling of cases.
This initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s continued commitment to strengthening citizen engagement, enhancing service delivery, and promoting transparency and accountability, in line with OICOA’s mission.
