Hon’ble Muhammad Arif Khan, formally took oath as the Ombudsman of Azad Jammu & Kashmir in a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat. The oath was administered by Acting President of AJ&K, H.E. Chaudhry Latif Akbar, in the presence of officers of the AJ&K Ombudsman Secretariat, members of the legal fraternity, and distinguished guests.
The assumption of office by Hon’ble Muhammad Arif Khan will play a pivotal role in ensuring accountability of the government functionaries and the protection of citizens’ rights across Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Mr. Arif Khan is a seasoned senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of AJ&K and brings with him a wealth of expertise in matters of constitutional and legal importance.
During the oath taking ceremony, the AJ&K Ombudsman reaffirmed his resolve to ensure swift, fair, and effective redressal of public grievances, grounded in the principles of justice, integrity, and good governance.
