Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, Ombudsperson Punjab, attended Bedari’s 7th Annual Provincial Conference on Girls’ Rights as a Distinguished Guest at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore. The conference was held under the theme “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights.”
In her address, she said the Office of the Ombudsperson Punjab is collaborating with various departments and NGOs to provide greater protection to women across the province. She also appreciated Bedari’s continued efforts to promote and protect the rights of women and girls, particularly by strengthening girls’ voices and their access to education, safety and opportunities.
Since 2019, Bedari’s Annual Girls’ Rights Conference has given girls from rural and underserved communities a vital platform to engage directly with policymakers, institutions and key stakeholders on issues affecting their lives.
