The Mediator of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Saleh Kebzabo, has expressed his country’s strong interest in benefiting from Morocco’s advanced experience in institutional mediation during an official visit to the Kingdom.

Speaking to the Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) on the sidelines of talks with Hassan Tariq, the Mediator of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Kebzabo highlighted that his visit aims to “draw inspiration from Morocco’s pioneering approach to mediation, as the Institution of the Mediator has become a true benchmark in the field.”
He underscored the importance of regular exchanges between the two countries’ mediation institutions, allowing for sharing of best practices, knowledge, and expertise, particularly in advancing institutional mediation and enhancing citizens’ trust in public governance.
For his part, Mr. Hassan Tariq emphasized that the meeting reflects a commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding collaboration across Africa. He noted that the Institution of the Mediator of Morocco enjoys “significant international visibility” due to its longstanding presence and active role in global ombudsman and mediation forums over the past two decades.
He added that enhancing African cooperation is a central goal of the Institution’s 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, and that Morocco and Chad already enjoy excellent relations which can be further developed within the African system of mediation institutions.
Mr. Tariq also stressed that meetings with African and foreign counterparts provide opportunities to consolidate exchanges, strengthen institutional capacity, and share expertise — an approach increasingly sought by African mediators wishing to collaborate with Morocco’s highly regarded mediation institution.
Mr. Kebzabo’s working visit to the Kingdom runs from 16 to 19 September, and includes meetings with key Moroccan officials across various sectors relevant to governance, mediation, and public service reform.
