His Excellency Mokhammad NajihChairman of the Ombudsman of Republic of Indonesia
Born in Lamongan, East Java on May 17, 1965. Mokh. Najih completed his bachelor’s degree in law at Brawijaya University in 1989. He completed his master’s in law at Diponegoro University in 1999, and then obtained a Doctoral degree at the University of Kebangsaan Malaysia, majoring in Doctor of Philosophy in 2016.
The Head of the Master of Law Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Mr Mokhammad Najih, was elected as Chairman of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia by Commission II of the House of Representatives on Thursday, 28 January 2021 for the term 2021-2026.
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia is an institution that has the authority to supervise the implementation of public services, whether organized by State and government administrators, as well as private organizations given the task of administering certain public services.
