Mediator of Côte d’Ivoire Engages with Government Ministers to Strengthen Governance and Social Cohesion
The Mediator of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Gaoussou Touré, a member institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), held a series of high-level meetings on 17 April 2026 in Abidjan with key government officials.
Mr. Touré successively received the Guard of Seals and Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Mr. Sansan Kambile, followed by the Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Amadou Coulibaly.
The meetings were conducted within the framework of strengthening institutional cooperation and promoting good governance. During the discussions, the Minister of Justice highlighted that the visit was a courtesy engagement aimed at reinforcing collaboration in support of governance and social peace.
Minister Amadou Coulibaly congratulated Mr. Touré on his appointment as Mediator of the Republic and expressed his willingness to enhance dialogue and support the institution in fulfilling its mandate.
In response, Mr. Gaoussou Touré commended the constructive nature of the exchanges and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering social cohesion, strengthening institutional dialogue, and promoting principles of good governance.
These engagements reflect the Mediator Institution’s key role in facilitating cooperation between public authorities and ensuring a governance framework grounded in transparency, accountability, and citizen trust, in line with OICOA’s mission.
