The Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, Counselor Aqila Saleh, received the Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Mr. Abdullah Qadribouh, and his accompanying delegation at the Speaker’s office in Al-Quba to review the Authority’s ongoing work and discuss key financial and regulatory matters.
The meeting focused on the performance of the Authority’s branches and offices, recent oversight reports concerning public institutions, ministries, and government entities, and the Authority’s role in strengthening the rule of law, safeguarding public resources, and promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability across the public sector.
Discussions also covered the state’s final accounts, including the progress achieved by the Administrative Control Authority and the National Committee in completing outstanding financial accounts and conducting technical reviews of public revenues and expenditures. These efforts were recognized as important measures to reinforce financial discipline and improve public financial management.
Both sides reviewed the unified state budget project and the observations attached to it, emphasizing the importance of reaching consensus to support unified public expenditure, strengthen fiscal transparency, and enhance financial governance. The meeting also highlighted the significance of the initiative, supported by the United States administration, as an important step toward advancing Libya’s financial unification and contributing to national economic stability.
Speaker Aqila Saleh commended the Administrative Control Authority for its role in overseeing public institutions and protecting public funds, reaffirming the House of Representatives’ commitment to providing the legislative framework necessary to ensure the Authority’s independence and effectiveness.
The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority presented an overview of the final accounts for previous fiscal years, the Authority’s future priorities, and its ongoing field activities aimed at monitoring institutional compliance with applicable laws and regulations. He expressed appreciation for the support of the House of Representatives and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to strengthening oversight, advancing administrative and financial reform, and improving public service delivery.
