Tripoli, 9 December 2025 — Libya commemorated International Anti-Corruption Day with a high-level ceremony led by the Administrative Control Authority, attended by senior national leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and international partners.

The event brought together Authority President Abdullah Qaderbouh, President of the High Council of State Mohamed Takala, and Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, alongside ministers and representatives of accredited embassies and organisations.
In his address, Mr. Qaderbouh underscored the political, economic, and social risks posed by corruption and stressed the need for a comprehensive national approach. He also announced the signing of Phase II of the Libyan National Capacity-Building Project to strengthen anti-corruption and anti-money laundering capabilities.

President Takala reaffirmed the High Council’s support for nationwide integrity efforts, while Prime Minister Dbeibah highlighted the importance of systemic reforms, improved administrative standards, and enhanced appointment mechanisms.
Representatives from the United Nations, European Union, and international organisations commended Libya’s reform initiatives and reiterated their continued support.
The ceremony concluded with the signing of the 2025–2027 National Capacity-Building Project between the Administrative Control Authority and UNODC, supported by the European Union—marking a significant step toward reinforcing transparency, institutional integrity, and good governance in Libya.
