The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, held discussions on Sunday afternoon with Mr. Tamer Al-Hafni, representative of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Libya, on expanding bilateral cooperation in combating administrative and financial corruption.

The talks, held in accordance with Law No. (2) of 2001 on political and consular work and its amendments, focused on strengthening collaboration between the two countries’ oversight institutions. Discussions highlighted the potential for joint training programs, exchange of expertise, and capacity-building initiatives in the field of supervisory work.

Both sides emphasized the importance of leveraging their respective institutions the Libya’s National Academy for Training and Development and Egypt’s National Academy for Combating Corruption to advance professional qualifications, enhance institutional performance, and promote good governance.

Mr. Qaderbouh underscored that this partnership aims to develop oversight capacities, improve accountability mechanisms, and consolidate joint efforts in protecting public funds in line with the mandate of the Administrative Oversight Board.

The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Libya and Egypt to fostering regional cooperation, transparency, and integrity, ensuring that supervisory bodies contribute effectively to the public interest.
