Mediator of Kingdom of Morocco member institution of OICOA Celebrates International Women’s Day 2026
Rabat – Monday, 9 March 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Kingdom Mediator Foundation organized a special ceremony at its headquarters in Rabat to celebrate the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of women serving within the institution.
The event was held in coordination with the Social Work Association for Employees of the Foundation, and formed part of the institution’s annual tradition of recognizing the valuable role of its female staff and encouraging their continued excellence at both the central and regional levels.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Hassan Tariq, Mediator of the Kingdom, who, in his remarks, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to gender equality and to advancing the role of women as essential partners in promoting the values of justice and fairness. On the occasion, he also announced the decision to ensure continuity of the Gender Equality Management Programme, together with the preparation of a special annual report dedicated to this important area of work.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of eight women, who were awarded shields of excellence and certificates of appreciation in acknowledgment of their professional achievements and distinguished contributions. The honorees were:
Hassana Al-Adnani, Narges Berrou, Hanan Banaser, Huda Ayat Zdan, Ilham Al-Badawi, Karima Belmouden, Mona Ben Makhlouf, and Labna Khabish.
Organized under the slogan “8 March – 8 Women,” the event also coincided with 25 years (2001–2026) of the establishment and development of this protective institutional mechanism in its successive forms, reflecting the growing role of women in the field of institutional mediation.
The ceremony underscored the Foundation’s commitment to upholding women’s dignity, strengthening their participation in professional life, and promoting a culture of justice, equity, and women’s rights in line with the broader institutional vision.
The event concluded with a message of appreciation to all women whose efforts continue to advance the values of justice and rights within society.
