The Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a member institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), has successfully obtained the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The certification was awarded after the Commission fulfilled all requirements of the international standard and successfully completed comprehensive verification and evaluation processes conducted by an internationally accredited certification body.
This achievement aligns with the Commission’s strategic vision of strengthening institutional governance, enhancing cybersecurity resilience, and fostering a secure and reliable operational environment. It reflects the institution’s ongoing commitment to implementing international best practices and globally recognized standards in information security management.
The certification further demonstrates the Commission’s dedication to protecting sensitive information and data related to its mandate, operations, and anti-corruption activities, while ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Mr. Ahmed Malkawi, Head of the Commission’s Cyber Security Unit, noted that the unit was established in 2023 with the objective of creating a secure digital environment, enhancing preparedness and response to cybersecurity incidents, and strengthening cyber awareness among employees and the wider community.
He explained that the unit also works to promote information security awareness, develop cybersecurity culture within the institution, and support efforts aimed at enhancing transparency, trust, and the quality of services provided by the Commission.
The attainment of ISO/IEC 27001 certification represents a significant milestone in the Commission’s digital transformation journey and reinforces its role as a leading institution in promoting integrity, accountability, and secure governance practices.
