Amman — The Committee of National Steering and Representative Media, chaired by MP Faras Qablan, visited the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Board to review its efforts in strengthening the national integrity system and advancing administrative and financial reform.

MP Qablan commended the Board for its key role in upholding the values of integrity and enhancing citizens’ trust in state institutions, stressing the importance of maintaining close coordination with the House of Representatives to update and enact legislation vital to the fight against corruption and comprehensive national reform.

For his part, Board Chairman Dr. Mohannad Hijazi expressed appreciation for the committee’s visit, describing the Board’s oversight work as a cornerstone of transparency and good governance. He reaffirmed that combating corruption is a shared social responsibility and highlighted the Board’s ongoing training programs for public sector employees, particularly those involved in procurement and tendering, to strengthen adherence to auditing and compliance standards.

Dr. Hijazi noted that Jordan ranks 4th in the Arab world and 58th globally on Integrity Indicators, reflecting the Board’s progress both locally and internationally. He added that the institution continues to expand initiatives, enhance citizen engagement, and focus on continuous evaluation and improvement to achieve the highest levels of integrity.

Attending MPs — Mohammed Al-Sbaila, Mohammed Al-Roud, Nour Abu Ghosh, and Ahmed Al-Raqab — reaffirmed their support for the Board’s mission and pledged to bolster legislative and supervisory collaboration, further advancing national transparency and accountability.

During the meeting, Dr. Asim Al-Jadou, Director of Institutional Development, delivered a presentation attended by Vice President Sami Al-Salayta, Board Members Dr. Saad Al-Shahab, Hazem Al-Majali, Nasser Al-Qadi, Secretary General Amjad Narmouq, and Media and Communications Director Suheir Aldeek. The presentation showcased the Board’s strategic focus on justice, equality, rule of law, transparency, accountability, and good governance, while emphasizing youth engagement, adoption of modern technology, and strengthening of regional and international partnerships.
