On the sidelines of the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties (COP11) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), held in Doha, Qatar, a joint meeting took place between Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, Chairman of the Administrative Supervisory Board of Libya, and Major General Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Supervisory Board of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnership frameworks, exchanging specialized expertise in modern oversight and monitoring practices, and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two institutions. Discussions addressed key issues related to combating corruption, promoting integrity and transparency, and advancing institutional coordination in areas of shared interest.
Both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation in capacity building, training, and knowledge sharing, recognizing these as essential tools for improving institutional performance and achieving national sustainable development goals. The meeting also reflected a shared commitment to deepening integration between oversight institutions and reinforcing public trust through effective accountability mechanisms.
In this context, the Chairpersons discussed the joint training plan for 2026, aimed at developing a new generation of qualified professionals capable of addressing complex and evolving challenges in the field of oversight and anti-corruption. The initiative seeks to further embed a culture of integrity, transparency, and good governance as fundamental pillars for stability and sustainable development in both countries.
The meeting underscored a common vision to enhance bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to continued collaboration in support of effective governance and anti-corruption efforts at the national and regional levels.
