Islamabad — Participants of the 45th Specialized Diplomatic Course at the Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad, attended a lecture delivered by the Honourable Federal Ombudsperson, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, on “Harassment and Intercultural Sensitivities.”

The session focused on strengthening awareness of professional conduct and workplace ethics as essential components of diplomatic training. Ms. Viqar highlighted the importance of building safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive professional environments, noting that diplomatic assignments require adherence to high standards of dignity, integrity, and professionalism in diverse settings.

The lecture provided practical guidance on recognizing and preventing harassment, promoting respectful interpersonal conduct, and responding appropriately to cultural differences in workplace interactions. The discussion reinforced the message that safeguarding dignity and workplace safety is a shared responsibility and a prerequisite for effective representation abroad.

The session concluded with a reaffirmation of the value of integrity and professionalism as foundational qualities for Pakistan’s diplomatic corps.
