LAHORE — The historic city of Lahore welcomed distinguished Ombudsman leaders and global representatives arriving from across the world for the IOI Asian Regional Meeting 2025 & International Conference, held under the theme “Strengthening the Rule of Law through Ombudsman Institutions.”

Ahead of the formal sessions, delegates embarked on an immersive cultural tour, experiencing the rich heritage and hospitality of Lahore. The visit included the magnificent Lahore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site symbolizing the city’s imperial legacy; the artistic treasures of the Faqir Khana Museum, home to one of South Asia’s largest private art collections; and concluded with an elegant dinner at the iconic Haveli Restaurant, overlooking the illuminated Badshahi Mosque.
The evening offered delegates an opportunity to appreciate Lahore’s enduring history, architectural splendor, and vibrant cultural identity, while fostering camaraderie and informal dialogue among Ombudsman leaders and international guests.
The IOI Asian Regional Meeting and International Conference 2025 mark an important step in strengthening accountability, transparency, and good governance worldwide, with Ombudsman institutions exchanging ideas to fortify the rule of law and enhance their role in protecting citizens’ rights.
