FOSPAH Conducts Training to Promote Workplace Dignity and Protection Against Harassment

The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH), a member institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), conducted a training session aimed at enhancing awareness and strengthening protections against workplace harassment.

The session was organized in collaboration with HPFKM Law Firm and brought together employees from RIZ Consulting and KRATOS Consultants, organizations engaged in organizational development, gender rights, and security services.

The training focused on building a clear understanding of workplace harassment, including sexual harassment and various forms of gender-based discrimination, both subtle and overt. Participants were guided through practical insights on identifying inappropriate behaviors and responding effectively within professional environments.

A key component of the session highlighted the legal responsibilities of employers, including the establishment of inquiry committees, implementation of preventive policies, and the creation of internal mechanisms to ensure a safe and respectful workplace.

Importantly, the discussion expanded the conventional understanding of the workplace, emphasizing that professional environments extend beyond office spaces to include roads, highways, and field-based settings, where employees must also be guaranteed dignity and protection.

The initiative reflects FOSPAH’s ongoing commitment to promoting safe, inclusive, and harassment-free workplaces, while strengthening institutional awareness and compliance with legal frameworks.

This effort aligns with OICOA’s mission to advance transparency, accountability, and the protection of fundamental rights across member institutions.
