Islamabad — The Presidential Secretariat hosted the Third Diplomatic Grievances Redressal Seminar, convening representatives of foreign missions to discuss administrative challenges and explore institutional solutions through Pakistan’s ombudsman framework.

The seminar provided a platform for direct dialogue between diplomatic missions and Pakistan’s grievance redressal institutions, reinforcing cooperation in areas of good governance, accountability, and administrative transparency. Delegates attended from the embassies of the European Union, Australia, Ireland, Russia, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Iraq, and Nepal, along with representatives of the OIC Ombudsman Association (OICOA) and the Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman (FPO).
The session was chaired by Justice (R) Irfan Qadir, Chief Legal Consultant to the President of Pakistan, who highlighted the constitutional mandate of the Presidency in overseeing federal ombudsman institutions. He underscored the ombudsman system as one of Pakistan’s most credible mechanisms for impartial, citizen-centered, and cost-free grievance redressal a system introduced in the 1980s and now an essential pillar of public governance.

The seminar was also attended by the OICOA delegation. Ambassador Aman, Advisor at the Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, represented both the FTO and OICOA, reaffirming Pakistan’s proactive role in global ombudsman cooperation and its commitment to aligning national grievance redressal practices with international best standards.
The event marks another milestone in institutional dialogue and diplomatic collaboration within Pakistan’s ombudsman ecosystem, further strengthening partnerships aimed at improving administrative justice and service delivery.
