Islamabad, Pakistan – August 14, 2025
The Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman (FPO), in collaboration with the Office of the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the FTO House, Islamabad, led by Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah.
The event was attended by representatives of Federal ombudsmman FTO officials, staff members, and members of the public, reflecting a spirit of national unity and patriotism. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag by Dr. Jah and his mother.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jah who is President of Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman highlighted the importance of integrity, accountability, and service to the nation, emphasizing that the values underpinning Pakistan’s independence should continue to guide the work of public institutions and higlighted the role of ombudsman. The celebration concluded with a brunch hosted for participants, providing an opportunity for staff and guests to engage in an informal exchange and share in the festivities.
