Islamabad: Federal Tax Ombudsman Zafar Hijazi attended the Pakistan Tax Bar Association Summer Camp 2026 as the chief guest at a programme jointly organized by the Pakistan Tax Bar Association and the Lahore Tax Bar Association at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad.

Addressing participants, Hijazi emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between tax institutions and the legal fraternity to promote transparency, fairness, and taxpayer facilitation. He noted that sustained engagement and capacity-building initiatives are essential for developing a more efficient, responsive, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration.

The Federal Tax Ombudsman underscored the role of cooperation between regulatory bodies and tax professionals in enhancing public confidence, improving dispute resolution mechanisms, and supporting effective implementation of tax laws.

The event brought together tax practitioners, legal experts, and key stakeholders to deliberate on recent developments in tax legislation, tax administration, and dispute resolution, while providing a platform for professional dialogue and knowledge sharing on issues affecting Pakistan’s taxation system.
