LAHORE, October 2025 — The Office of the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (FOSPAH) conducted an awareness session at Askari Bank, Lahore, to promote understanding of the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, and to foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and accountability in professional environments.

The session was graced by the Honorable Federal Ombudsperson, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, who delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of creating safe, equitable, and empowering workplaces where every employee—regardless of gender—can contribute with confidence and dignity.The event featured an informative presentation by Mr. Shazib Iqbal, Assistant Law Officer at FOSPAH, who provided practical guidance on the implementation of the Act, complaint procedures, and the role of inquiry committees. A lively Q&A session, facilitated by Madam Lubna, Regional Advisor, allowed participants to engage directly with FOSPAH representatives, addressing real-life workplace scenarios and best practices for compliance.

The session concluded with a call for continued collaboration between public and private sector institutions to strengthen awareness, prevention, and redressal mechanisms for workplace harassment across Pakistan.
