ISLAMABAD – A World Bank delegation, led by Meskerem Brane, Regional Director for Planet (MENAAP), and Kamakshi Mubarak, Senior Social Development Specialist, called on Federal Ombudsperson Fauzia Viqar at the FOSPAH Secretariat on Monday.
During the meeting, discussions focused on potential avenues of collaboration between the World Bank and the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH). Ms. Viqar highlighted FOSPAH’s legal mandate, its proactive role in combating workplace harassment, and its initiatives to safeguard women’s property rights.
Both sides expressed a shared commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation to advance gender equality, ensure safer workplaces, and promote women’s empowerment across Pakistan.
