Amman February 2026: Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), a flagship initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, hosted a joint delegation led by H.E. Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, President of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission and member of OICOA, accompanied by an official delegation from Syria’s Central Commission for Inspection and Control, headed by Mr. Amer Al-Ali. The visit aimed to review HTU’s approach to technical education and its alignment with labor market needs.

The delegation was received by HTU President Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, who welcomed the guests and outlined the University’s vision centered on applied learning and the development of both technical and life skills. Prof. Al-Hinti highlighted HTU’s market-responsive academic programs, designed and delivered in close partnership with the public and private sectors, to help bridge the gap between higher education outcomes and real-world workforce requirements. He underscored technical education as a driver of economic development and a foundation for preparing national talent capable of keeping pace with rapid technological change.
Dr. Hijazi stressed the value of strengthening knowledge exchange between educational and oversight institutions, noting the role universities can play in promoting the values of integrity and transparency through education, training, and capacity building—supporting improved institutional performance and stronger governance.

Mr. Al-Ali praised the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation and experience-sharing in areas of mutual interest. He commended HTU’s contribution to advancing technical education and keeping pace with emerging technologies, expressing interest in benefiting from the University’s expertise in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
The visit forms part of broader efforts to enhance regional cooperation and exchange institutional best practices, supporting the advancement of education and training ecosystems and the development of human capital in line with modern global standards.
