The institution of Le Médiateur de la République of Côte d’Ivoire successfully concluded a three-day capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening the technical and operational competencies of assistants to delegated mediators and case officers. Hosted at the institution’s headquarters, the training featured intensive sessions designed to deepen understanding of institutional mediation and enhance service delivery to citizens. On the second day, participants took part in an engaging program led by expert facilitator Mr. Alain ZOUZOU, focused on alternative and peaceful methods of conflict resolution, as well as general mediation practices. Senior officials, including Mr. Tanguy Dimitri KONÉ, Director of Legal Affairs and Complaints, and Mr. Michel SEKA, Regional Delegate Mediator for the Poro Region, provided in-depth presentations on the legal foundations of institutional mediation, case processing, and conflict analysis in the public administration context. Their contributions blended theory, real-world case studies, and practical insights, equipping participants with immediately applicable tools to improve their professional effectiveness. The workshop concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony, during which Mr. KONÉ addressed the participants, encouraging them to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice to improve the handling of public grievances and to strengthen the impact of the institution. He also conveyed the Médiateur de la République’s appreciation to both the trainers and participants, acknowledging their commitment as key to advancing a more efficient and citizen-focused mediation service.
