Ankara: Chief Public Auditor Mehmet Akarca attended a meeting of the Joint Commission comprising members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) Petition Commission and the Human Rights Inquiry Commission, where the Public Audit Institution’s 2025 Annual Report was reviewed.
During the session, members of the Joint Sub-Commission discussed the findings and recommendations contained in the TBMM Joint Sub-Commission Report on the Public Audit Institution’s 2025 Annual Report, examining the institution’s performance and its role in protecting citizens’ rights through the parliamentary oversight framework.
The meeting was also attended by Public Auditors Ertunç Erkan Balta, Fatma Benli Yalçın, and Abdullah Cengiz Makas, along with Secretary General Mehmet Doğan, reflecting the institution’s engagement with Parliament on issues relating to accountability, public administration, and human rights.
The review forms part of the Turkish Parliament’s oversight process, reinforcing cooperation between the legislature and the Public Audit Institution in promoting transparency, accountability, and effective public service delivery.
