The Office of the Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye, welcomed students from Ankara Bilim University, Kırıkkale University, and Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Ombudsman Society as part of an institutional visit programme.

The programme was held with the participation of Chief Ombudsman Mr. Mehmet Akarca, Public Supervisor Mr. Özcan Yıldız, and Mr. Mehmet Do Kamuan.

In his opening address, Chief Ombudsman Mr. Mehmet Akarca emphasized that the Public Audit Authority is a rights-seeking institution, noting that it provides free advocacy for the people, safeguards citizens’ rights, remains open and accessible to the public, and guides the administration.

During the programme, Public Auditor Mr. Özcan Yıldız delivered a presentation on the historical development and operational framework of the ombudsman institution. He also shared practical examples highlighting the Authority’s work, organizational structure, and key decision types.

The Office of the Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye welcomed the students’ interest and engagement, and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting rights awareness, accountability, and good governance—principles that are central to the shared mission of OICOA member institutions.
