The Chief Public Ombudsman of Türkiye and President of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), Mehmet Akarca, together with Public Ombudsmen Ertunç Erkan Balta, Abdullah Cengiz Makas, Özcan Yıldız, and Şerif Yılmaz, as well as the Secretary General of the Institution, Mehmet Doğan, paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, at his office.

During the meeting, Chief Public Ombudsman Mehmet Akarca formally presented the Public Ombudsman Institution’s 2025 Annual Report to Speaker Kurtulmuş. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on the activities of the Institution, its contributions to strengthening good governance and accountability, and its role in protecting citizens’ rights through effective complaint handling and mediation mechanisms.

The engagement underscored the importance of institutional cooperation between the Public Ombudsman Institution and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, particularly in the context of parliamentary oversight, transparency, and the promotion of the rule of law.
