Ankara — Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye Mr. Mehmet Akarca, accompanied by Ms. Fatma Benli Yalçın and the Secretary General of the Ombudsman Institution, Mr. Mehmet Doçişian, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Family and Social Services, H.E. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, at her office.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed cooperation opportunities in areas related to family welfare, social protection, and mechanisms to strengthen citizens’ rights. Chief Ombudsman Akarca emphasized the institution’s commitment to improving oversight and ensuring better protection of vulnerable groups through coordinated work with government ministries.
Meeting with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) and Member of Parliament for Ankara, Mr. Fuat Oktay, also visited Chief Ombudsman Akarca.
The meeting brought together senior leadership of the Ombudsman Institution, including:

Chief Ombudsman Akarca expressed appreciation for the Commission’s continued support and underlined the importance of constructive dialogue between oversight institutions and legislative bodies.
