ÇORUM — Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye and President of the OIC Ombudsman Association (OICOA), Mr. Mehmet Akarca, along with Public Ombudsman Mr. Özcan Yıldız and General Secretary Mr. Mehmet Doğan, attended an awareness meeting at Hitit University on the topic “The Duties of the Public Ombudsman Institution and Applications Made to the Institution.”
During the session, participants were briefed on the mandate and areas of responsibility of the Public Ombudsman Institution, including the application and complaint submission process, institutional functioning, and key activities undertaken by the Institution to strengthen public service delivery and accountability.
As part of the visit, Mr. Akarca and the delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Rector of Hitit University, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk, where matters of mutual interest and the importance of institutional awareness among students and academia were discussed.
