The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board, Abdullah Qaderbouh, participated in the official memorial ceremony organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, to honor the martyrs of duty from the Libyan Armed Forces.

The ceremony was held to mourn the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Rakin Mohamed Al-Haddad; the Chief of Staff of the Land Forces, Major General Vitori Gribel; the Director of the Military Manufacturing Authority, Mahmoud Qatiwi; Adviser to the Chief of General Staff, Mohamed Al-Assawi; and the official photographer of the Chief of Staff, Mohamed Mahjoub, who tragically lost their lives following the crash of the aircraft carrying them shortly after takeoff from the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The memorial proceedings were conducted in accordance with established military traditions and protocols, following the arrival of the aircraft transporting the bodies of the martyrs at Tripoli International Airport. The ceremony followed an official farewell and memorial service previously held at a military base in Ankara.

The reception and mourning ceremony was attended by the President of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Mohamed Al-Menfi; Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi; Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, along with a number of senior civilian and military officials.
The participation of the Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board reflects the institution’s national and institutional solidarity with the Libyan Armed Forces and stands as an expression of deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made by its commanders and officers in the performance of their national duty.
