In a public advisory, the Banking Mohtasib, Mr. Sirajuddin Aziz, urged citizens to stay vigilant against the growing threat of banking fraud. He strongly advised customers not to share their personal or financial information with anyone, and to refrain from clicking on links received via mobile phones unless the source is verified and trustworthy.

Mr. Aziz further recommended that in case of receiving suspicious calls, customers should immediately visit the nearest branch of their bank or contact their bank’s helpline. He also emphasized the importance of reporting such incidents along with the phone numbers involved to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
