BOUNDIALI : As part of the implementation activities of the Social Cohesion Project for the Northern Regions of the Gulf of Guinea (COSO), a capacity-building training workshop was held from 08:30 to 14:00 at the meeting room of the Boundiali Town Hall, with the objective of strengthening the skills of Complaints Management Committees (CGR).

Mr. Sanogo Mamadou, Mediator Delegate of the Bagoué, participated in the workshop alongside members of the prefectural administration (Prefects, Secretary General, and Deputy Prefects), the Director General of the Administration of the Regional Council of Bagoué, regional directors, the head of canton, representatives of traditional authorities including the regional representative of the House of Kings, religious leaders, and representatives of youth and civil society from Boundiali.

Initiated by the World Bank in 2022, the COSO project is being implemented in four countries—Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, and Togo—with the aim of strengthening social cohesion by promoting proactive management of social risks and supporting an inclusive and secure environment for beneficiary communities.

Within this framework, Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs/MGRs) have been established across all sub-prefectures, the three departments, and the wider Bagoué region. The Mediator Delegate serves as a member of the Regional Complaints Management Committee, which is chaired by the Regional Prefect, who is also Prefect of the Department of Boundiali.

The mechanism is designed to provide stakeholders—particularly communities in COSO intervention areas—with accessible, secure, and confidential channels to submit complaints, suggestions, or disagreements, while ensuring timely resolution that respects the rights of all parties.
