Baku — The Ombudsman of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dr. Sabina Aliyeva, Doctor of Philosophy in Law, participated in the defense of master’s dissertation works at Baku State University, underscoring the continued attention given to legal education and the cultivation of scientific potential among young people.

The preparation of professional and highly qualified legal staff remains essential for the effective protection of human rights, and the Ombudsman’s participation in this academic process reflects the institution’s ongoing commitment to strengthening legal education at all levels.

It is worth noting that the Ombudsman Foundation implements a range of educational initiatives in cooperation with higher education institutions, aimed at enhancing the legal knowledge and skills of young people. These initiatives include encouraging volunteerism, organizing internship programs for students, and supporting talented students—particularly those studying law—through the Ombudsman’s scholarship program. Such efforts help reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical skills, better preparing students for careers in the legal field.

These initiatives, focused on the professional development of young people, contribute to building a knowledgeable and responsible workforce in the field of human rights protection, while reinforcing the foundational principles of a legal state.
