The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, held an award ceremony to present medals and accompanying certificates to staff members who were conferred the state honour “For Distinction in Public Service” in accordance with the Decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on June 23, 2026.

Addressing the ceremony, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva highlighted the special attention and support extended by the President towards public servants, including ongoing measures aimed at strengthening their social protection, encouraging professional excellence, and improving their welfare.
She noted that the conferment of high state awards reflects the recognition of public servants’ professionalism, integrity, dedication, and responsible service to the state. The Ombudsman expressed her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his continued support and appreciation of public service.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva presented the medals and certificates to the honoured staff members, congratulated them on this significant achievement, and wished them continued success in their future endeavours.
