Nanjing — The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab proudly participated in the 18th General Assembly and 26th Board of Directors Meeting of the Asian Ombudsman Association (AOA), held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, under the theme “Effective Ombudsmanship for People’s Livelihood.”

Hosted by the National Commission of Supervision of China, the high-level gathering brought together Ombudsman institutions from across Asia to share best practices, enhance cooperation, and strengthen accountability mechanisms for the benefit of citizens.

Through its participation, the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, transparency, and fairness, while contributing to regional and global dialogues on strengthening Ombudsmanship as a tool of justice and citizen protection.

The Punjab Ombudsman’s Office emphasized that collaborative efforts within platforms like the AOA are critical to ensuring people-centered governance and fostering systems that deliver equitable solutions to public grievances.
