Tripoli | Thursday, September 25, 2025 — The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, received the Chairman of Libya’s Supreme Council of State, Dr. Mohammed Takala, at the Board’s headquarters in Tripoli for high-level discussions on strengthening accountability, transparency, and oversight of public institutions.

The meeting reviewed the Annual Report No. 53 (2023) and updates on Annual Report No. 54, which highlighted key observations, recorded violations, and corrective actions taken against public institutions. The reports also shed light on systemic challenges in resource management and compliance with transparency and disclosure standards.
The session further addressed the work of the National Committee for the Closure of State Accounts, where officials underscored the critical importance of completing final accounts as a tool for monitoring public finances, safeguarding national resources, and assessing the state’s true financial standing.
Mr. Qaderbouh stressed the need for strengthened cooperation between sovereign institutions to enhance oversight efficiency, safeguard public money, and improve governance systems.

Dr. Takala commended the Board’s efforts, noting that its comprehensive monitoring reports serve as vital references for policymakers, academics, and stakeholders across Libya.
Following the meeting, the two leaders visited the National Academy for Training and Development, where they reviewed its academic, research, and capacity-building initiatives, emphasizing the role of education and training in advancing institutional integrity and effective oversight.
This engagement reflects the Board’s ongoing commitment to good governance, transparency, and inter-institutional collaboration as cornerstones for preserving public trust and financial discipline.
