The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Board, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, received H.E. Mohamed Rahal, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Libya, at the Board’s headquarters in Tripoli on Tuesday.
The meeting underscored the deep historical and fraternal ties between Libya and Palestine and reaffirmed Libya’s firm and unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian cause, including the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and the establishment of an independent state.
Discussions also addressed concerns raised by members of the Palestinian community in Libya, particularly in sectors such as health and education. Mr. Qaderbouh stressed the Board’s readiness to address these complaints promptly, ensuring that the community benefits from rights and entitlements guaranteed under Libyan legislation.
He further emphasized Libya’s solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of ongoing aggression, reiterating that Libya’s voice will remain steadfast in supporting Palestinian rights in all international fora.
Ambassador Rahal expressed his gratitude for Libya’s consistent support, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation and brotherhood between the two nations. He expressed confidence that the Board’s oversight role would help safeguard the rights and interests of the Palestinian community in Libya.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Arab solidarity and demonstrates Libya’s commitment to defending Palestinian rights and supporting their just cause.
