The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, conducted a field visit to the National Council for Economic and Social Development, accompanied by House of Representatives member Mr. Omar Tantosh, Chairman of the Planning, Finance and Public Budget Committee, Mr. Aamer Imran, Vice Chairman of the Committee, and Mr. Muhannad Al-Mawi, Director of the Office of the Chairman.
The delegation was received by Mr. Mahmoud Al-Fateisi, Director General of the Council.

The visit falls within the Board’s mandate to follow up on the implementation of national strategies and verify the level of institutional compliance among responsible entities. It also aimed to review the Council’s ongoing efforts in planning and economic and social development.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Council’s progress, development programs, operational plans, and mechanisms in place to pursue national priorities designed to enhance economic performance and improve public sector efficiency.
Mr. Qaderbouh emphasized the Council’s central role in formulating policies, supporting the government, and proposing executive strategies. He stated that the Administrative Oversight Board attaches great importance to ensuring the effective implementation of national plans in line with standards of transparency, accountability, and good governance.
He further noted the importance of integrating efforts between executive, supervisory, and legislative bodies, which is essential for improving the management of development programs and achieving Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with Resolution No. 118 of 2022 on the reorganization of the Council.
The visit reflects the Board’s continued commitment to monitoring the performance of national planning and development institutions, ensuring sound implementation of strategies that serve the public interest, and supporting the course of economic and administrative reform in Libya.
