The Federal Ombudsman Pakistan and the Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, member institutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association, reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening public service delivery, transparency, and prompt grievance redressal through enhanced institutional cooperation.

In this regard, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch, Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan, visited the Secretariat of the Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar, where he held an important meeting with Mr. Mutahar Zeb.

The meeting focused on key issues related to the effective resolution of public complaints and strengthening coordination between federal and provincial ombudsman institutions.

During the discussions, both sides agreed to further enhance administrative cooperation and emphasized the importance of adopting a joint strategy for the timely resolution of citizens’ grievances.

The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of ensuring transparency, accountability, and improved governance standards within public institutions. Special emphasis was placed on launching awareness initiatives aimed at increasing public access to ombudsman services, particularly in remote and underserved areas.

Both institutions reiterated their commitment to providing prompt, accessible, and cost-free justice to citizens while strengthening public confidence in accountability mechanisms and administrative justice systems.

The engagement reflects the continued efforts of Pakistan’s ombudsman institutions to advance citizen-centered governance, institutional collaboration, and effective public complaint management.
