Ombudsman İlkan Varol Participates in International Conference on the Right to Education
The Ombudsman of the Turkish Cypriot Community, Ms. İlkan Varol, a member institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), participated in the opening ceremony of the International Conference on the “Right to Education,” hosted by the Faculty of Law of Eastern Mediterranean University.

The conference, organized within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Nicosia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss key issues related to education rights.
The event provided an important platform for dialogue on promoting equitable access to education, strengthening legal frameworks, and addressing contemporary challenges in ensuring the right to education for all.
The participation of Ms. Varol underscores the commitment of the Ombudsman Institution to supporting human rights initiatives and engaging in international platforms that promote fundamental freedoms and inclusive development.
