Mediator of Côte d’Ivoire Leads Strategic Meeting to Strengthen Institutional Coordination and Outreach
The Mediator of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Gaoussou Touré, a member institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA), presided over a strategic coordination meeting on 4 May 2026 at the institution’s permanent office in Cocody, Abidjan.
The meeting focused on reviewing key aspects of the institution’s functioning and identifying priority actions to enhance service delivery to citizens. Discussions emphasized improving operational efficiency, strengthening institutional visibility, and facilitating access to mediation services.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to assessing the national communication campaign launched on 2 May 2026. Participants reviewed initial field feedback, evaluated communication channels including traditional media, digital platforms, WhatsApp, and call center services, and discussed adjustments to maximize outreach and engagement with the population.
Mr. Touré reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to bringing mediation services closer to citizens through a proactive approach centered on accessibility, responsiveness, and effectiveness. He highlighted the importance of continuous improvement in service delivery to strengthen trust and promote social cohesion.
The meeting reflects Côte d’Ivoire’s ongoing efforts to enhance institutional performance, improve citizen engagement, and promote good governance.
