TRIPOLI — On 9 June 2026, a meeting was held at the Office of the Attorney General in Tripoli between the Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Mr. Abdullah Qaderbouh, and Deputy Attorney General Counselor Mr. Sadiq Al-Sour, within the framework of strengthening coordination and institutional integration between the supervisory and judicial authorities.

The meeting focused on a number of files of national priority, including matters related to fuel supply and administrative contracts.

Discussions on the fuel supply file addressed the importance of strengthening oversight throughout all stages of sector management and enhancing coordination among relevant institutions to support stability and the regular provision of supplies. The participants also emphasized support for the National Oil Corporation in carrying out its responsibilities within the approved legal and technical frameworks, with the aim of ensuring the continued availability of fuel in the local market without disruption.

The two sides further reviewed mechanisms related to financing the oil sector and explored ways to enhance transparency in resource management and the allocation of financial resources in accordance with applicable regulations. These efforts are intended to support sound public expenditure management and the effective use of public resources.

The meeting also addressed the file of administrative contracts, including measures to strengthen both prior and subsequent oversight procedures, intensify legal review processes, and ensure the integrity of contracts and their compliance with applicable legislation. These measures contribute to promoting transparency and safeguarding public funds.

During the meeting, the two parties exchanged relevant files based on the findings of the General Administration for Investigation of the Administrative Control Authority. This cooperation falls within the legal competencies assigned under Resolution No. (20) of 2013 and supports institutional integration between supervisory, investigative, and prosecutorial functions.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation between oversight and judicial institutions in advancing accountability, transparency, and the effective legal follow-up of matters of public interest.
